How AI credits work in DoroSocial
AI credits are the spendable balance DoroSocial uses for AI work such as transcription and transcript-based title or caption generation. Manual drafts and publishing do not spend AI credits.

Free does not include AI credits
Free users can organize content and create manual platform drafts, but AI transcription and AI-generated post copy require Pro access or another eligible credit grant.
Available balance already subtracts holds
The AI Credits settings page shows spendable credits. That number already subtracts brief reservations for AI jobs that are currently running.
Purchased credits are separate
Purchased credit packs are added to the account balance after checkout. They are tracked separately from monthly subscription credits.

What happens when an AI job starts?
- 1DoroSocial estimates the costBefore starting an AI job, the app checks the account, selected workflow, provider route, and estimated credit requirement.
- 2Credits can be reservedWhen a job starts, DoroSocial may place a temporary hold on the estimated credits so the account cannot overspend while the job is running.
- 3Credits are committed or releasedIf the AI job succeeds, the reserved credits are charged. If the reservation is refunded, the held credits are released back to the account.
- 4The activity log records the changeThe AI Credits settings page shows grants, purchases, completed AI charges, and recent credit activity.

Open Settings, then AI Credits to monitor available balance, buy a credit pack when eligible, claim available promotions, and review recent credit activity.
